Congratulations to Tom and Kim Hixon on the arrival of their daughter Arianna; Alan Gustafson on receiving his Private Pilots Certificate; and Randy Lagman getting his Sport Pilots Certificate.
Nestled in a cozy cove off the west shore of Lake Winnebago is the AirVenture Seaplane Base, the site of EAA AirVentures' annual "Splash-In". It's the center of activities for those with an interest in water-based aviation, and over the years as EAA has grown, so has participation at the Seaplane Base. This premium seaplane "spot" is open to all who attend AirVenture, however, this is not a registered seaplane base the remaining 51 weeks of the year. The Seaplane Base is private land which is owned by the Vette and Blust families. |

The all volunteer staff at the Seaplane Base will have a number of fun activities throughout the week of AirVenture 2010. You're invited to come and see what's going on and enjoy the unique facet of "water flying" at the AirVenture Seaplane Base. |
