The Watermelon Social is the "big event" at the Seaplane Base. This annual gathering is for seaplane enthusiasts, pilots and guests to socialize and enjoy the camaraderie at the Seaplane Base. Held at the center of the AirVenture Seaplane Base, the setting overlooks beautiful Lake Winnebago and the lagoon with where the seaplanes are moored. |

| The 21st annual Watermelon Social will be held at the Seaplane Base on Saturday, July 31st at 5:30 PM. Tickets are available at the Administration Office at the Seaplane Base, and are $15.00 each. The menu consists of a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad or cole slaw, baked beans, relish tray, and of course Watermelon! Also included is your choice of beer or soda and a glass souvenir mug. Tickets are limited and go fast, so get yours early! |
